Ronald Seidelman, Managing Director of GHH Radsatz describes his motivation on giving support to the association as follows...
“Since 2009 Gutehoffnungshütte Radsatz GmbH has, as member of the Board of the association for the development of the technical college Ruhr West, been accompanying the rapid evolution of this college. The defined focus especially on the areas of MINT-subjects, as well as the practical orientation of the course of studies, offers students the best conditions to acquire an optimal starting point for their transition to professional life. Furthermore we as entrepreneurs can build up our business-development upon young well trained employees having the necessary well-grounded knowledge needed. Already beforehand and during the phase of studying a close calibration between college, students and companies is provided through the coverage of complex topics being thoroughly and application oriented dealt with in i.a. internships, bachelor theses and/or master theses. Additionally a continuous alignment of know-how demand and scope of lectures is realized by exchanging stimuli between business/industry and the HRW on a mutual regular basis. These circumstances are the basis for the substantial positive development of business and industry in our region.”
The evidence that the technology transfer between academics and business functions well and brings forth the much-cited win-win-situation can be seen in various projects which have already been realized today, also with companies from Oberhausen.
