The Messe Berlin exhibition grounds hosted after a break of four years the most prestigious trade fair in the railway transport and rail technologies segment – InnoTrans 2022.
The thirteen trade fair which occupied an area of 200,000 sq.m, was visited by more than 130,000 visitors from 131 countries.
From September 20 till September 23, all major manufacturers and players met at the international trade fair of transport technology and mobility. All in all 2,834 exhibitors from 56 countries presented on fully occupied exhibition grounds their complete portfolios of products and services for mobility, including 250 world premiers, 128 vehicles and 14 buses. The main themes of the trade fair were alternative drive systems, battery and fuel cell propelled trains and also buses.
GHH-BONATRANS Group had its exhibition stand, as has already become a tradition, in Hall 21 on an area of almost 200 sq.m. The exhibition disposition allowed unique facilities to be provided for both the Group’s employees present and its business partners. Besides the present employees and hostesses, to the stand’s pleasant atmosphere contributed also the new concept of the Group’s presentation in the area of design, but also numerous interactive elements and a new application making the presentation of the Group’s products and references to them easier.
Several exhibits were prepared for the visitors this year. The first of these was a pair of wheels for carriages of the Prague Metro, one fitted with a BONASILENCE®P plate damper and the other one without the damper. On these wheels visitors could themselves compare the difference in noise perception by knocking on the wheel rims with a hammer. Products for freight wagons were represented by a BONA320 stress-optimised wheel of the third generation, fitted with the latest BONASILENCE®R+ ring damper. As an exhibit of the fastest passenger rail transport served a wheel for the high speed Velaro units. And the other end of the spectrum, transport with the most frequent stops, was represented by a wheelset with a typical standard wheel and a wheel sprung by hyper-elastic rubber, GHH®V60 and GHH®ULTRA-S, intended for trams operated on lines of different degree of stress load and/or LRVs.
