In Berlin on June 1, BONATRANS presented a highly prestigious award to Indian Railways.
This occurred during the International Railway Summit, more specifically during the Official Presentation of Sustainability Awards organised by the UIC (International Union of Railways). BONATRANS did so in the role of the sponsor of the category Climate Adaptation, within the thematic block Prosperity. The award was presented by Marcel Ujfaluši, Head of Business Development and Marketing. There was another personal presentation several weeks later directly in the Indian city of Delhi. The award was presented by Padmanabh Dike, Head of Sales for Bonatrans India, to Bhupender Singh Bodh, the Indian Railways executive director for Railway Electrification, responsible for the complete electrification of railways in India and conversion of the system towards carbon neutrality. He accepted the award as a reward for the entire team and recognition of the advances made in recent years by Indian Railways in the field of electrification, including the impact on the global carbon footprint. In addition, at a very high political level we supported the relations between BONATRANS, more specifically Bonatrans India, and one of the largest railway networks in the world.
